Will Blackwell (1900-1952) was a timberman contractor in the coal mining industry, as well as an employee of ABC Coke (currently the largest merchant producer of foundry coke in the U.S.) and his wife Gertrude (1902-1972) worked many years as a seamstress for the Liberty Trouser Co. (now Liberty Bibs). Church-wise, Will & Gertrude were CoC, at least in their latter years.

Milton Raleigh Morse (1892-1979) was a retired machinist for Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, and later a member of Euclid UMC in St. Petersburg, FL. He was a descendant of Samuel Morse (b. 1585 Essex, England - d. 1654 Medfield, Norfolk, MA) who emigrated to the U.S. in 1635.

As per his obit, Jim served with the Navy during WWII, then graduated with honors from the Univ. of Alabama with a degree in chemical engineering, then worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron, Ohio where he met Jeanne. Jim & Jeanne lived in Ohio, Alabama, South Carolina and Texas.

  • Helena Jeanne Morse Blackwell +2010-2014 (b. 1925 Bartlesville, OK; m. 1951 Akron, Summit, OH; d. 2014 TX), daughter of Milton Raleigh Morse (b. 1892 Lyons, Rice, KS - d. 1979 Sebring, OH) & Tina Helena Overmyer Morse (b. 1890 Scott Twp., Sandusky, OH - d. 1979 Alliance, Stark, OH).
