Woodrow Walton Jenkins was born May 26, 1920. His parents were Henry Pierce Jenkins (1869-1926) and Ada Blanche Coates Jenkins (1879-1970). His siblings were:
- Esther Catherine Jenkins Kuhn (b. 1897) married Henry Goodloe Kuhn (b. 1896) on August 29, 1918, and had at least eight children.
- Walter Pierce Jenkins (1900-1981) married Virder Rider (1898-1985);
- Augusta Frances Jenkins Hasse (b. 1902), or "Gussie", married August Martin Hasse (b. 1902), notable preacher;
- Robert Lyle Jenkins (1906-1988) married Amy Rider (1907-1990);
- Mary Blanche Jenkins (1909-1983) never married;
- Elizabeth Martha Jenkins Lamphier (1912-2002) married James Elmer Lamphier (1912-1978) on Sept. 29, 1933; She was the secretary of Culpeper Baptist Church for many years.
- John William Jenkins (1914-1995) married Anna Agnes Jenkins (1915-1992)
- Lucille Mae Jenkins Mack (1917-1997)
- Woodrow Walton Jenkins (1920-2007) married Susan Elizabeth Poore (1922-2001); Woodrow was a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, served during Korea and Vietnam;
- Harold Samuel Jenkins (1924-1945) was killed in action in World War Two, having given his life to Christ several years before, as reported in Light & Liberty Magazine.
Marriage
Woodrow married Susan Elizabeth Poore (1922-2001) in Thurston, Washington on April 19, 1946.
Education
Woodrow graduated in 1939 from the School of Business and Public Management at George Washington University.
