January 1945 Letters of Interest  Leonard Lindsted

Following is a resume of the past summers work in the tent.

Bro. Clarence Ferwerda and I concluded tent meetings in Goessel, Kansas, with God saving some fourteen or fifteen souls.

Lately I have heard that others in different parts of the county have been confessing Christ as Saviour due to the tent meetings.  Yet, we have never seen these people.  This may seem strange, but when one takes into consideration that oft times the attendance at the meetings numbered over a thousand, we met but a comparative few.

Soon afterwards I began a Bible Class which meets in our home (in Goessel) with an attendance of 35 to 40. The clergy in these parts haven't been too friendly, and it has not been easy to get school houses since the tent work. However, last week I was allowed the use of an old abandoned church house about nine miles east of Goessel. It seats over 200; interest is only fair as far as numbers go, not passing the 50 mark. But some men are concerned about their souls.
