[[Walter Eric Thompson]] was instrumental introducing his brother [[Fred Allison Thompson]] to the Brethren in the 1910's, the latter of whom founded the [[Augusta Gospel Hall, ME|Christians at the Gospel Hall]] in Augusta, [[Maine]].  

=Family=
Walter was a son of [[Archibald John Thompson]] (b. Jul. 21, 1855 Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, [[Canada]] and Hannah Jane Turner (b. 1861 St. John's, NFL - d. 1899 Revere, MA), who were married Jan. 10, 1883 at Hannah's father's residence, officiated by Rev. Percival, in St. John's, Newfoundland.  The family emigrated to Boston, [[Massachusetts|MA]] on June 25, 1888.     

=Occupation=
Walter served as a private secretary to William Jennings Bryan, resigned for ethical reasons, due to inferred falsehoods about munitions on Lusitania.
