Joseph Hubert Claar

Joseph Hubert Claar, better known as Joe Claar, was born on Aug. 21, 1927 in Bedford, Pennsylvania, and died on Mar. 30, 2020 at Carmel Hills Retirement Community where he resided the last few years of his life. He was in fellowship with Charlotte Gospel Hall from at least 1972 thru the remainder of his days, and the founder of a Christian bookstore, managed many years by Bob McClenaghan that met in a shopping mall in Charlotte, in conjunction with Books For Christians, a publishing company started in 1972 that was best known for its commentary series, The Serious Christian.
