"Your kind gift and note from the Pioneer Fund received with thanks to fellow saints and to the Lord Himself. We have just returned home two days from a trip into the country where we had eleven meetings in a new field. The interest was very gratifying, one sister confessed to being restored to the Lord and a number of others claimed to receive help in the Word.
One sister told me of her son, a young man, being saved last year which was my first visit there. Was also much cheered to meet a Jewish man, who had attended my meetings in another part of the country last year, and while not having made an open confession of Christ as his Saviour he showed much interest in the Gospel.
He expressed a wish to me today when I called at his place of business, that I return sometime soon to hold meetings in that part of the country. We would value the prayers of the Lord’s people for this dear man that he might indeed find the Lord Jesus and own Him as Saviour and Messiah, of whom his forefathers cried “Away with Him.” Thank you again in the Lord’s name for your kindness and fellowship in His glorious Gospel. Ephesians 2:8."
