Alexander Schilinsky

Alexander Schilinsky was born in 1874 in Russia, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1891 with his parents, Constantine Schilinsky & Augusta Aukshun Schilinsky (b. 1848 Russia, emig. 1891, @ NYC 1891-1913, @ Yonkers, N.Y. +1913-1933, d. 1933 Yonkers, N.Y.). His sister was Helena C. Schilinsky Kaschel, whose family was in fellowship with the EB-TW, and he may have been as well. His name was listed in a Messages of Love in recognition for correctly answering Scriptural quizzes 1903-1905.

From 1900-1915, he resided in the Bronx, New York, and was a day laborer for the railroad in 1900, and a cabinet maker for a piano factory in 1910. By 1920, he resided in Philadelphia, and 1925-1935 in Yonkers, N.Y. In 1940 he lived in N.Y.C., and he died in 1964 either in Paterson, New Jersey, or in West Columbia, South Carolina, where his daughter Natalie Clara Schilinsky Atwood (b. 1914 Bronx, N.Y. - d. 1968 Aiken, S.C.) lived with her husband Adelbert Edwin Atwood (b. 1907 Aiken, S.C. - d. 1989 Charlotte, N.C.), an Episcopalian at the time of his death. His wife was Clara M. Nehring Schilinsky (b. 1883 Russia) and he was in fellowship with the PB from as early as 1903, until his death in 1964, his memorial service was at a Christian Assembly @ 5th & Jefferson Sts. in Paterson, New Jersey.
