C.E. Bulander, Logansport, Indiana:

"I received your letter with the fellowship enclosed. We thank God for His people that have the interest of His work at heart. Just a few words concerning the work here in Indiana. Since Brother Gilbert left, to my knowledge, I am the only worker in this part of the state of Indiana giving full time to the work. We are praying that it may please Him to raise up others to help.

For fourteen years I was pastor of denominational churches until the Lord showed me to “go unto Him without the camp and bear His reproach.” Thus far I must say it has been a joy and pleasure and He is supplying the need. Last December my wife and I cut loose from all denominational affiliations and since then the Lord has blessed our testimony for Him.

Our main work is teaching Bible classes and personal work. We have held five meetings since that time. The Lord is exercising other Christians to come out and separate themselves unto Him. Last summer meetings were held in South Bend, Logansport, and Fenton, Michigan. In South Bend there is a group of about twelve young married people that are meeting regularly for Bible study and prayer meeting. On Sunday they find fellowship with the Christians at Elkhart. A new assembly has been started at Adamsborough, just six miles East of Logansport.

Just a few words about the Bible classes. Last winter and spring we had several Bible classes, which were well attended and souls saved. We have started several of these classes again this fall. We meet in two groups, Mrs. Bulander takes the children into one room (we meet mostly in the homes) and I take the adults. The attendance is generally good. By having the childrens’ classes, they encourage the parents to come. We sincerely ask your prayers in this work. We again praise God for His people that are in sympathy with the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
