"Your good letter of October 3rd was forwarded to us here and many many thanks in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ for the enclosed fellowship from the Pioneer Fund. God bless you for this kind remembrance of us. We are now holding forth in an abandoned church at Hager City, Wis. We have a very nice interest, though the numbers to date are quite small. The whole country seems to be open for the gospel an 1 we do rejoice in the holy and happy privilege of making Christ known to those who have not been privileged like those in our assemblies, i.e. of sitting under the clear gospel all their lives. Pray for us."
