Hugh Johnson Munro

Dr. Hugh Johnson Munro was born June 11, 1884 and raised in Forest, Lambdon County, Ontario, Canada to George Munro (1842-1892) and Margaret Johnson Munro (1857-1944).

Hugh's siblings were Flora P.N. Munro Hawthorne (1879-), James John Alexander Munro (1883-1942), Augusta Victoria Munro Vance (1887-1988), and Donalda Caroline Munro (1888-1966).

He married Isabelle Munro (1886-) and they had a daughter Lucilia Janetta Munro, born March 19, 1915 in Winnipeg.


Lucille may have later became a doctor, emigrated to Chicago, Illinois, and never married.  There was also a Charles Munro in Winnipeg who also was a doctor.

Dr. Munro was raised Brethren, and in 1936, he was serving as an elder at St. Vitale Gospel Hall while living in Winnipeg South, Manitoba where he moved from Lambdon East between 1911-1916, and his major occupation was as a chiropractor.  He died on February 15, 1962 in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
