John Hunt, Riverside, California:

"Your monthly paper “Letters of interest” has been put into my hands by brethren handling assembly correspondence in Los Angeles and Long Beach.

I am convinced God has laid this service upon your heart and your associates to stimulate interest in the furtherance of the gospel and it will net eternal results. 2 Kings 7-9.

This is a day of good tidings and it is our privilege as well as responsibility to spread them abroad, in which all God’s people should share. Phil. 12.37.

Brother S. Greer and I have spent the summer in tent work in Los Angeles, Compton and Long Beach, God giving us to see fruit in each place. Compton is a place with no assembly, but God greatly cheered us in tent work there, over twenty professing faith in Christ in meetings last summer and this. There were two elderly Catholics among this number.

We praise Him for His faithfulness, but we greatly deplore the lack of love for perishing sinners evidenced on every hand in the disinterestedness in the furtherance of the gospel. May God greatly bless your desires and efforts to stimulate, encourage and foster interest on the part of assemblies in the propagation of the “glad tidings of great joy.”

Your work is not in vain in the Lord 1 Cor. 15:58 and it will be rewarded 2 Chron. 15:7."
