"I am grateful to you for your letter with enclosed kind gift from the Pioneer Fund. Please acknowledge to the donors my sincere thanks for the encouragement their gift has brought because it proves once more that when certain channels close God can open up new ones. This was the last place I should have thought of looking to for anything thus God works to keep the eyes of His servants fixed upon Himself alone.
At present I am having tent meetings in Ontario, California where goodly numbers of strangers are attending nightly. Last year I had ten weeks of meetings with good interest and some were saved at that time, two of whom have died since but lived long enough to prove that they were God’s workmanship. So they were saved just in time.
There is no assembly in Ontario but there are a few Christians who come to our help. I hope to continue as long as there is interest and the weather is favorable. So far we are having splendid weather for tent work although it is the month of October."
