Owen Hoffman, Washington, Georgia:
"Received your letter and enclosed fellowship on Saturday. This communication from the Pioneer Fund is sincerely appreciated and wish to express my thanks in the name of our Lord and pray that God will bless every effort made to spread the gospel in these last dark days.
Had a time of blessing in Washington, Ga. commencing tent work on May 31st in the face of some opposition. After preaching to a few for three weeks, the attendance improved and the closing night there were 400 present.
Went on to Asheville to a young people camp for two weeks, at which time about fifteen accepted the Lord as their Saviour. Returned to Washington again. Spent eight weeks there in all and some 25 decided for Christ. Fourteen followed the Lord in baptism in a river on Sunday in the presence of over 300 people.
Am now in an out-of-the-way place called Irvin Court Ground. About 300 came out to the meeting last Sunday night, about 75 coming from Washington which is just fourteen miles from here. The work is great and I am kept busy with the many tasks that fall to hand, visiting, etc."
