Richard Ulrich

Dr. Richard G. Ulrich was a general surgeon in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He had a surgical practice for 40 years. The name of his practice was Surgical Physicians. He was born on March 9, 1933 and died April 11, 2014. He worked as a general surgeon for most of his career, and was the Medical Director at Springcreek Nursing and Rehab Center until shortly before his death. Dr. Ulrich had a heart for overseas mission service. He worked for four years at a Christian medical center in a remote part of the D.R. Congo (formerly Zaire). He also volunteered frequently with HELPS medical mission to Guatemala, offering free surgical care to the poor. In addition to his beloved wife Virginia V. (Elliott) Ulrich, he had seven children, Elizabeth, Deborah, Jonathan, Joanna, Stephen, Lois, and Timothy, as well as 34 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
