Robert Thompson LOI 1934-11

Robert Thompson, Nordheim, Texas:
"Your letter of 28th August addressed to me at Indiana was received just as we were leaving there on our return from Northern Michigan. From thereon we were travelling continually and eventually reached home last Saturday evening tired but very happy and rendering praise for all journeying mercies.
We are endeavouring to hold aloft the flag down here in this darkened state. The real Gospel is practically unknown and as for walking in the Light as He is in the Light that is altogether foreign to the minds and ideas of professing Christians. We hope as soon as possible to engage a store building in a nearby town and get busy there.
Openings seem to be on every hand but we lack opportunity. As a result of our visit North the Christians in many places will be praying for the work in Texas and we feel very much encouraged at the interest and will continue on with renewed courage."
