"We began this testimony to the Lord’s name just two years ago and we have only a few days ago concluded a Bible conference with the saints, seeking to confirm them in the truth commonly believed among us, with blessed results. The work is a pioneer effort, the soil is hard and difficult, the need is great, and like other places, the laborers are few. Prayer is much needed.
I am acknowledging with grateful thanks your letter and gift forwarded to me by my dear wife. I am profoundly thankful not alone for the gift, but for the confirming effect it has had upon my faith in our prayer hearing God. The past several weeks have been weeks of special trial and test financially and we know what it is to get alone with God by prayer, that He thinks upon such worms as we in such unexpected and strange ways, does call for special thanksgiving to God. May God richly bless your much needed service for Him in these neglected home mission fields I humbly pray.
