Gilbert Grant, with the assistance of his son, Leslie McIntosh Grant, founded the Grace and Truth Gospel Hall, a KLC assembly in Edmonton, Alberta.

He was born on Sept. 4, 1883 at Inverness, Highland, Scotland to William Longmore Grant (b. 1851 Keith, Moray, Scot. - d. 1946 Bowden, Red Deer, AB) & Helen Boyne Ross Grant (b. 1853 Elgin, Moray, Scot. - d. 1921 Bowden, Red Deer, AB).

Marriage

He married Mary Emily Watson Grant. She was born on Aug. 20, 1887 at Yarmouth, St. Thomas, Elgin East, Ontario, Canada to a merchant & farmer, Elijah Bunker Watson (b. 1855 Peel, Wellington, ON - d. 1944 Edmonton, AB) & Louisa Augusta Vaughan Watson (b. 1857 Eng. - d. 1930 Pickardville, AB). She moved to Alberta in 1902, residing at Bowden, then Calgary and Edmonton, and returned to Calgary in 1973.

Death

Gilbert died on Sept. 9, 1969 in Edmonton. After his death, his widow returned to Calgary in 1973, and died Oct. 7, 1986 at the age of 99, while living at the Central Park Lodge. Friends were encouraged in lieu of flowers, to donate to the Canadian Bible Society, in honor of Mary.
