In 1985 the congregation at [[Bethel Chapel, Pointe Claire, QC|Bethel Chapel, ]] Pointe Claire]] had outgrown their facilities. In September of that year, two thirds, 160 persons according to Peterson, left to begin [[Westview Bible Church, Pierrefonds, QC|Westview Bible Church]], which stands at the corner of Pierrefonds Blvd. and St. Charles in Pierrefonds.
The assembly first met at rented quarters in Dorval, a southern suburb of Montreal followed by several other locations. In 1987 a six-acre lot was purchased further west on the island in Pierrefonds. A five-hundred seat auditorium was constructed together with a full-sized gymnasium.
