Alvin was employed as a glazer and glass installer for 35 years until retiring. Alvin married Mary Cressman Charles and they attended Grace Gospel Chapel for many years before joining the First Methodist Church of Perkasie. Mary was born Aug. 27, 1925 and died Feb. 1, 2016. They had three children:
* Susan Landes Crow married Austin Crow, and they live in Kutztown, PA
* Richard Landes lives in Quakertown, PA
* Dale Landes married Sally, and they live in Quakertown.
