Together they went on to establish and develop Camp Brochet, just north of Chicoutimi. A first summer camp was conducted in the area on the shores of Lac-Saint-Jean in 1965. Within two years the operation had been relocated to Lac Brochet where it continues to the present time. In 1987, leadership was turned over to the French Canadians. In the meantime, the Butterys laboured to establish an assembly at Chicoutimi, an effort which saw the light of day in 1977. This work also carries on today under French Canadian leadership.
By Roy has served on numerous service organizations established for the encouragement of the Lord's work in the province. These include, among others, News of Quebec, Christian Brethren Churches in Quebec, Programme de formation pour les Assemblées chrétiennes, and Conseils et services missionnaires. In 2003, the Butterys had moved back to Sherbrooke, in the Eastern Townships, building a house and continuing their ministry from this location.
