Simon Hebert II (b. 1764 St. Charles de Bellechasse, [[Quebec|QC]], Canada - d. 1843 Madawaska, N.B.). His ancestor Jacques Hebert (b. 1596 Touraine, France - d. 1670 Port Royal, N.S.), a monk, may have been among the founders of Port Royal, N.S., which was the first capital of the Acadia Colony, the first French colony in N.S., which includes parts of present-day Maine.
