Changes

Prior to 1878, an exclusive sister named Mrs. Jenett Jeanette Haskell Sturtevant lived in Milo, Piscataquis County in Northwest [[Maine]] thru 1879her death 1880. She was married to Capt. Walter William Sturtevant, whose ancestors were among the earliest settlers of Milo, which was founded in 1823. Walter served in the Civil War. Walter's father, Moses Sturtevant (1796-1865) was born in [[Massachusetts]], and it is presumed by this author that his family settled in Milo by 1830, as an unknown relative, William Sturtevant, was elected one of three town officials that year. Moses served in this position in 1841. He also served as the third commander of the first military company in Milo, known as the Milo Light Infantry Company, founded in April 1824. There was also an E.E. Sturtevant that served as the town clerk in 1880.
