=History=
Prior to 1878 thru 1879, an exclusive sister named Mrs. Rachel W. Bolton Webb Jordan resided in Casco, Cumberland County which is presently a suburb of Portland, in southwest [[Maine]]. Rachel was born Dec. 2, 1831 in Casco, which is where she died also, on Jul. 27, 1922. Her parents were Thomas Webb and his wife Eliza Ann Mayberry Webb. On Mar. 24, 1856 in Otisfield, ME she married Israel Jordan, the son of Ezekiel and Mehitable Maxwell Jordan. Israel was born Nov. 11, 1813 in Raymond, Cumberland, ME - d. Sept. 27, 1862). Wonder if he died in the Civil War. Israel's first wife was Cynthia B. Woodman Jordan, (1823-1854). Israel's ancestor was Lieu. Col. Nathaniel Jordan, who fought in the Revolutionary War. He was born Dec. 24, 1718 in Spurwink, and served as a staff officer in defense of seacoast and service to the eastward, Cumberland County, from Sept. 25, 1779 thru Oct. 23, 1779. Children:* Emma Woodman Jordan Lowell (1849-1914)
