In 1989, three families of believers from the assembly in Rivière-du-Loup, living in Cabano some thirty-five miles away, began meeting in the basement belonging to one of the brethren. The group grew and soon the garage was “converted” into a meeting place to better accom-modate the increasing numbers. Their own building was purchased in 1999 and renovated to provide adequate meeting facilities. More recently the town name was changed to Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac.
Meantime, in 1993, [[André Lepage]] and his family began attending. Eventually they were commended by the assembly to work among them. They sold their home, a forty-minute drive from the assembly, and moved to within walking distance of the chapel. André increasingly shouldered responsibility for the preaching and teaching; however, due to serious physical setbacks, he eventually had to curtail his activities. In 2019, the Lepages relocated to Rivière-du-Loup, some fifty miles away, in order to be closer to needed medical facilities. Since then, the assembly building has been put up for sale sold and meetings have been seriously curtailed.
