His work carried him to various places where he always sought out the gatherings of the Lord's people, and thus our brother was widely known. During the past nine years he was associated with saints in the West Chicago Blvd. Hall, and as caretaker in more recent years. Of a humble, gracious spirit, with a happy smile and cheery word our brother will be missed both in the home and assembly and the various conferences where he would meet the Lord's people. Shall be much missed. We have known our brother for 55 years. Survived by three sons, one daughter, Mrs. Alex. Joyce, and one sister. He was saved when 17. In Central Hall first, a good man, consistent in attendance and served his brethren faithfully. Much missed in home and Assembly."

With her husband she showed much hospitality to the Lord's servants and others and loved the old paths of the Word to the end. In fellowship in Stark Road Assembly (formerly West Chicago) she will be much missed and we commend her husband to the prayers of the saints, also her daughter in the assembly at Stark Road. Three sons and their families who have heard the Word for years we especially commend to the prayers of His own. We have known this family for over 50 years, her parents of the "old school." Our sister was aged 75."

He was a faithful man, teaching Sunday School for 25 years and seeing some fellow workers saved. During the past seven years, he was in San Diego, then in [[Florida]], and then six months at the home in Marion, [[Iowa]]. E. Doherty had the funeral service in [[Florida]]."
