Henry was a paternal grandson of William Clark (b. 1804 - d. 1868 Nashville Center, Martin, MN), who in 1860 worked as a laborer in Potosi, Grant, WI, and a maternal grandson of John R. Thomas (b. 1798 Wales - d. 1877 Mankato, Blue Earth, WI) & Ellenor Ellen Prichard Thomas (b. 1809 Wales - d. 1884 Mankato, WI).
 
While living in Millarton, Henry and his son Paul operated a hardware store (Clark & Son). Wife: Ella Elizabeth Doolittle Clark (b. 1860 Magnolia, Rock, WI - d. 1934 Valley City, Barnes, N.D.), daughter of Newton Joseph Doolittle (b. 1830 Murray, Orleans, N.Y. - d. 1891 Nashville Center, Martin, MN) & Ermina Jeannette Rowley Schofield-Doolittle (b. 1848 Rock Co., WI - d. 1904 Martin Co., WI). No close relation to [https://www.brethrenarchive.org/people/alfred-taylor-schofield/ Dr. Alfred Taylor Schofield] (1846-1929), the eminent physician and Bible teacher, or to Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, the legendary WWII flier.

Wife: Mabel Elizabeth Palmer Clark (b. 1894 Sauk Centre, Stearns, MN - d. 1952 Valley City, Barnes, N.D.), daughter of Charles Gustave Palmer (b. 1862 Rudskoga, Varmland, Sweden - d. 1948 Glenwood, Pope, MN) & Charlotte Elizabeth Olson Palmer (b. 1868 Fristad, Älvsborg (Västra Götaland), Sweden - d. 1950 Melrose, Stearns, MN). Mabel's parents were registered Lutheran in the 1860's-1880's.
* Cora Eliza Clark Nichols (b. 1885 Fairmont, MN - d. 1944 Valley City, N.D.). Husband: Fred Levern Nichols (b. 1878 Sumner, Bremer, IA - d. 1974 Bernidji, Beltrami, MN), son of James Nichols (b. 1848 Belmont, Grant, WI - d. 1925 Staples, Wadena, MN) & Maria Diana Wescott Nichols (b. 1851 Erie Co., PA - d. 1916 Staples, MN).
* Ermina Margaret "Mina" Clark Knapp (b. 1892 Fairmont, MN - d. 1974 Valley City, N.D.). Husband: Charles William Knapp (b. 1885 Minonk, Woodford, IL - d. 1962 Big Timber, Sweet Grass, MT), in 1910 a telegraph operator for the RR in Minonk. He was a son of Christian Knapp (b. 1857 IL - d. 1935 Wood Dale, DuPage, IL), and a grandson of Carl Knapp (b. 1818 Steinmienten, Rheinphals, Germany - d. 1909 Mokena, IL). Carl was a recognized early settler of Mokena, having emigrated to the area in 1850, affiliated with what is now St. John's UCoC.
