On July 30, 1815, Alexander Hamilton was born in Galston, Ayr, [[Scotland]], a son of James Hamilton (b. 1791 Ayrshire, Scot.) & Jean Fulton Hamilton, and infant baptized into the CoS on Aug. 13. James & Jean were married on June 6, 1813 in Galston. Alexander's siblings included: Robert (b. 1814), Margaret (b. 1823), James, John, Jean, Jessie Palmer (b. 1831), Helen (b. 1833), George & William. Jean must have died young, for 1841 has James married to Helen (b. 1801 Ayr, Scot.)
