WiS 1967-11: Barr., NJ: "Our aged brother Gustav A. Eisele of Audubon "went home" to be with the Lord Aug. 28, aged 88. He was the father of Mrs. Wm. J. Scott of this Assembly and on the original brethren when Assembly was planted. He knew "the joyful sound" and loved the Word. He will be missed."
WiS 1963-12: HH, NJ: "Our dear sister Mrs. Gustav Eisele "went home" at the end of October, aged 88. She was saved 49 years ago at Barrington, NJ under preaching of the late Wm. Beveridge and in fellowship from the commencement of the Barrington Assembly. An interesting note states that 'she baked the bread for the Lord's table, in the early days'. It reminds us of the old statement that 'God is not only great in great things, He is also great in little things'."
* Gustav Adolph Eisele '''1912-1967''' (b. 1879 Phil., PA - d. 1967 Camden, NJ), son of Jakob Friedrich "Frederick" Eisele II (b. 1839 Alb-Donau-Kreis, [[Germany]] - d. 1911 Camden, NJ). Frederick was employed in Philadelphia in 1880 as a bread baker. Gustav was employed in 1910 as a foreman machinist, and by 1920 as a toolmaker of gas mantels. He is popularly regarded as a key founder of this assembly.

** S. Naomi Eisele Scott '''1915-2004''' (b. 1915 Centre, Camden, NJ - d. 2004 Moorestown, Burlington, NJ). Husband: William James Scott '''+1940-1984''' (b. 1912 Phil., PA - d. 1984 Moorestown, NJ). William served as an elder at Barrington for many years. '''see Scott family''' Their son-in-law, John McPherson Amadio (b. 1936 Ardmore, PA - '''d. 2022''' Evesham Twp., NJ) was the primary correspondent for many years for the assembly, previously raised at the [[Bryn Mawr Gospel Hall, PA|Bryn Mawr Gospel Hall]] in the Philadelphia area of [[Pennsylvania]]. John's father was in fellowship at Bryn Mawr from his 23rd birthday in 1918 until his death in 1974. See [[Bryn Mawr Gospel Hall, PA]]. In 1940, John was residing in Barrington, and employed with the Philadelphia & Norfolk Steamship Co., and in 1950 was supervising a chemical company.

Saved during tent meetings near Camden on Sept. 1930, received into fellowship there and more recently in this Assembly. He leaves his widow, in fellowship here, an invalid, also one son and two daughters. He was a consistent Christian."

WiS 1959-9: Barrington, NJ: "Our beloved brother Samuel Hocking, Sr., went home to be with the Lord July 16th, after much weakness, aged 78. He was saved 63 years ago through hearing of Luther's verse, "the just shall live by faith". In assembly here since formation, and correspondent for years. The late bro. Pinney and he had Bible readings during their lunch hour in the Baldwin Locomotive Works years ago, we saw at least one in the funeral service saved at that time. His son Joseph labors in [[Peru]]. Pray for the widow and the three sons."
WiS 1964-8: Barr., NJ: "Our aged and esteemed sister Mrs. Mae Hocking went to be with the Lord June 14th. She was over 80 years of age. A native of New Jersey and saved over 60 years ago, with her late husband a worthy couple, they were in the founding of the assembly here, also had been in the old down town meeting in Philadelphia and in Camden. They were of the "old school" and their whole life revolved around the little meeting here, never missed a meeting save on account of extreme sickness. T&T 1950-3: Longport, N.J.: "At the home for aged Christians, David McClintock departed to be with Christ on Jan. 27. For a number of years he gave all his time to the preaching of the Gospel, mostly in Ontario. Later he settled in the Barrington district. He loved the Lord, His people and His Word."
WiS 1939-10: Fallen Asleep: Barrington, NJ: "On Saturday, Sept. 2, while driving home from a children's meeting in the Barrington Hall, Mrs. David McClintock was suddenly ushered into eternity through an automobile accident. Her husband was unable to leave the hospital to attend her funeral on account of injuries he received as a result of the collision. In her 63rd year. She was connected with the Society of Friends (or Quakers) until saved at meetings held by the late Walter Beveridge in South Jersey 35 years ago. Continued steadfast in the things of God ever since. A large number of Quakers attended the services which were large. Bren. Beveridge and Young spoke at the services."
