* TIG 1956-12-8: "James Walker of House No. 4, Lucernemines, passed away in the Indiana Hospital at 1:20 a.m. today, Sat., Dec. 8. Born Jan. 27, 1878 in [[Scotland]], he was the son of Mungo and Mary Black Walker. He is survived by his wife, Maria Wilson Walker and seven children: James W., Homer City; Mrs. Herbert (Jane) McAnulty, Homer City; Mrs. Harold F. (Mary) Clark, McKeesport; David Walker, Homer City; Mrs. Sando (Henrietta) Bruno, Homer City; Thomas, Lucernmines; and John at home; 18 grandchildren and one brother, and one sister living in Scotland. Mr. Walker was a member of the Church Gospel Hall, Indiana, and of the U.M.W. of A. Local No. 488, Lucernemines. He had lived in the Homer City area for 36 years. Friends will be received at the Askew Funeral Home, Homer City, after 1 p.m., Sunday, where services will be conducted by Evangelist James Lipke of Cleveland, Ohio, Tues., Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana."
* TIG 1998-4-7: "Emily Walker, 91, formerly of Indiana, died Sunday, April 5, 1998, in Longport, [[New Jersey|NJ]]. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the [[Longport Gospel Hall Home, NJ|Gospel Hall Home]] in Longport. Interment will be in the Laurel Memorial Park in Pomona, NJ. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by the Jeffries & Keates Funeral Home in Northfield, NJ."

He died of pneumonia & whooping cough.** James W"Barney" Cowan Wilson Walker (b. 1913 Anita, PA - d. 1979 Homer City, PA). Wife (1939): Dorothy Marie Kinder Walker (1920- 1956 @ 1996 Homer City, PA), daughter of Velmer John Kinder (b. 1900 Peachtree, Jeff., PA - d. 1925 Tide, Ind., PA) & Mary Emma Myers Kinder (b. 1898 Johnstown, Cambria, PA - d. 1972 White Twp., Ind., PA). Velmer died from an accident at the #3 mine at Tide, near Homer City. He was a motorman, attempting to replace a trolley that had become loose from the wire, and lost his balance, and fell, sustaining a skull fracture, then the motor ran over him. He was part of the Homer City Meth. Episc.

St. As per the [https://www.nga.gov/collection/provenance-info.9237.html#biography National Gallery of Art], the Houk Hotel was founded by John Houk, and for the hotel he purchased "an 1885 genre picture of a flax scutching bee" from "naive painter" Linton Park (1826-1906), which is now with the NGA.
