TIG 1951-12-3: "Mrs. Margaret L. Calhoun of Indiana, R.D.1, died in the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Glenn H. Moose of Anthony Run Road, near Shelocta today at 6:45 p.m. She was a daughter of Moses B. and Rachel Mangus Miller, and was born July 23, 1874, in Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong County, and spent her early life near Advance, and most of her life on Anthony, Run Road, and was a member of Gospel Hall of Indiana. Mrs. Calhoun is survived by her husband, A. Porter Calhoun, a son, William H., of Shelocta; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters: Porter Miller, Mrs. Mary Kerr and Mrs. Abbie Fleming of Shelocta; Mrs. Rose Robinson of Indiana, and Miss Virginia Miller of Shelocta. Friends will be received at Robinson's, Indiana, after 1:00 p.m. Tues., where services will be conducted Wed., Dec. 5 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Paul P. Plubell, of Philadelphia, will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana."
TIG 1992-11-7: "Indiana Optimist Club named Aaron W. Calhoun, son of William and Sandra Calhoun, Indiana, as its 419th boy of the month this week. Aaron, 16, is a member of Gospel Hall of Indiana, where he assists in teaching Sunday school, is a member of the Bible study group and youth group, and helps with church publications. As a senior at Indiana Area Senior High School, he participates in the concert band, marching band, Madrigal Singers, and A Capella Choir. He was also chosen to attend county, district and regional choral festivals and to participate on the quiz bowl team. Aaron was named a National Merit semi-finalist. He is also a member of the New Growth Arts Festival Committee and the American Diabetes Association. He is currently taking classes at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation he hopes to attend undergraduate and graduate school at John Hopkins Medical School to obtain medical and engineering degrees to become a biomedical engineer."
