** The Believers Magazine (TBM) 1927-12: "Ubly, Mich. - Brethren here are expected to open their new hall shortly. They have 'remembered the Lord' in a farmhouse for years, but the Lord has given them heart to 'enlarge their coast'."** Our Record (OR) 1929-3: "Ubly, Mich. - Beatrice, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Codling, was buried from the Gospel Hall here in January. Brn. Govan and W. Ferguson took the funeral. Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved parents."** OR 1931-10: "Ubly, Mich. - Thomas Codling went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 22. Was saved in [[Canada]] 53 years ago (1878) and in fellowship with saints in Ubly for over 50 years. A quiet, godly man, whose presence in the small assembly will be missed. Leaves a grown-up family, the most of whom are unsaved. Funeral was conducted by Brn. Alex. McDonald, Geo. Smith and John Govan. A large company filled the house."** Words in Season (WIS) 1955-7: "Detroit, Mich. - Our brother George W. Codling 'went home' suddenly May 2nd. Saved 32 years ago (1923) in Ubly, Mich., he was in the Assembly there, coming to this city a few years later where he was with the saints of Central Hall, faithful in attendance when able."** WIS 1976-3: "Cass City, Mich. - Bre. N. Crawford and W. Metcalf were expected here for meetings in January. This is an old field of labor of ours in years past with brother Warke... all through this Tuscola County in the dead of Winter, over rough roads, with heavy snow, in 1928 we traveled the roads on foot mostly. The Assembly here is the old Ubly assembly."

The Hall met in a farmer's home until 1927 when they were building a Hall, with no debt (and with $5 in annual expenses), and $285 was additionally spent towards the Lord's work in 1926.
