Roy was a member in 1972 of the North York Gospel Chapel, a "well-known street preacher" and pastor of the York County Street Meeting Group. He retired in 1961 after 42 years as a machinist at Borg-Warner Co., and a member of the Shiloh Fire Co., Vigilant Fire Co., and the Firemen's Assoc. of York Co. George Rainey officiated Roy's memorial, and memorial contributions were recommended to Sudan Interior Mission (SIM) of Cedar Grove, [[New Jersey|NJ]]). Roy's 2nd wife: Grace P. Wolf Bennett
