*** William Porter Calhoun (b. 1923 Ind. Co., PA - d. 2-1-1945 Kuistrine, Germany). Purple Heart WWII Army Tech 5th Gr., 60th Inf. Regt., 9th Inf. Div. Buried in Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium. His name is listed on a monument in Ardennes, France. Died as a POW. He was captured 9-6-1944 and sent to Stalag 111-C, located on a plain near the village of Alt Drewitz bei Kustrin now located near Drzewice, Kostrzyn nad Odra, Poland.
