Husband: Bernard Allen Martz, Jr. (b. 1929 Tipton, Blair, PA - d. 2016 Wilkes-Barre, PA), son of Bernard Allen Martz, Sr. (1909-1981 Tyrone, Blair, PA) & Edna Mae Weber Martz (b. 1908 Antis Twp., Blair, PA - d. 1979 Tyrone, PA). He was "fondly remembered for his strong faith in Christ, his perseverance, his generosity, and most of all, his positive outlook on life in all circumstances". He joined the Merchant Marines after graduating from Greene High School in 1945, and transferred to the Navy in 1946, and honorably discharged. Three months after his wedding in May of 1949, he contracted bulbar and paralytic polio which left him in complete paralysis.
