Scheidecker family
==Scheidecker family==
Johann Michael Scheidecker was born in 1830 in Dundenheim, Ortenau, Germany, a son of Johann Georg Scheidecker I (b. 1802 Ichenheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany - d. 1862 Dundenheim, Ortenaukreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) & Anna Maria Wagner Scheidecker (b. 1797 Ichenheim, Ger. - d. 1877 Dundenheim, Ger.).  Six of Johann's children were born to his first wife, Maria Eva Roth (b. 1832 Ichenheim, Ger. - d. 1866 Dundenheim, Ger.), they were married in 1857 in Dundenheim. She was a daughter of Johann Adam Roth (b. 1805 Ichenheim, Ger. - d. 1879 Dundenheim, Ger.) & Maria Eva Huss Roth (b. 1804 Icheneheim, Ger. - d. 1850 Dundenheim, Ger.). Current genealogical research traces Maria Eva Huss' paternal ancestry back to the early 1600's in Ichenheim. Unknown if Maria is a descendant of Jan Hus ((1369-1375)-1415), martyred Czech theologian and seminal church reformer who influenced Martin Luther, because there is a 300-year gap in research on Ancestry. However, it is notable that one of the early direct ancestors was named Johannes Martin Huss (b. 1682 Ichenheim, Ger.), granted he was baptized Lutheran also. Their children:* John Michael Scheidecker (b. 1858 Schenheim, Dundenheim, Ger. - d. 1931 Clarksville, IA).
