Clay St. +1927+** Mert & Jane Wolcutt were commended from this assembly to Congo, then CMML, then to Rest Haven.** Witness 1921-3: "Sturbis (sic), Mich., is a new Assembly formed under remarkable circumstances. Two years ago A.L. Ritts, pastor of the first Baptist Church, withdrew from that denomination. Majority of congregation went with him. They decided to search the New Testament and begin at the beginning. Result, about forty now meet on Scriptural lines. C.E. Wood, former Baptist preacher, Grand Rapids, followed suit. Both proving very helpful to saintschurch."
