Steve & Mary were commended towards a move to Cochabamba, Bolivia in July 1989. They lived with a Bolivian family for three months while studying Spanish, then acquired their own apartment, and Steve began medical work in a clinic. Half the time in the early years he spent teaching health care and preventative medicine to Bolivians thru the church, while also studying Quichua.
