Dr. Dennis V. Moore had an osteopathic office in Iowa Falls as early as 1914, billed in 1917 as "the scientific way". Relocated to Los Angeles by 1930. He was a survivor of the Titanic, floating on a barrel for nine hours before being rescued.

* Dr. Dennis Vivian Moore '''+1914-1923+''' (b. 1880 Lavinia, Carroll, [[Tennessee|TN]] - d. 1936 Los Angeles, CA), son of farmer James Dennis Moore (b. 1840 Halifax Co., [[North Carolina|NC]] - d. 1914 Grand Prairie, Dallas, [[Texas|TX]]) & Martha Adeline Woolfolk Henderson-Moore (b. 1842 Cotton Grove, Madison, TN; m. 1874; d. 1930 Long Beach, CA). James was considered a pioneer citizen of Lavinia, who lived there 50 years. Martha's father was Dr. Vivian Broadus Woolfolk (b. 1815 [[Virginia|VA]] - d. 1895 Medina, Gibson, TN) who practiced medicine in Cotton Grove, and also served as postmaster in 1849. In 1847, Vivian was among those who represented Madison Co. Whigs in Nashville to nominate a candidate for the 12th governor of Tennessee, which resulted in the election of Gov. * Bessie Maple McElvain Moore '''+1914-1923+''' (b. 1883 Bushnell, McDonough, [[Illinois|IL]]; m. 1906 Chicago, IL; d. 1969 Los Angeles Co., [[California|CA]]), daughter of Oscar Marcellus McElvain (b. 1852 Bushnell or Good Hope, McDonough, IL - d. 1942 Macomb, IL) & Mianna Stickle McElvain (b. 1861 Macomb, IL - d. 1926 Los Angeles, CA). Oscar was a lifelong farmer. In 1881, his cousin I.N. McElvain was the local blacksmith in Bushnell. The family farmed McDonough Co. since the 1840's. Their immigrating paternal ancestor was Andrew McIlvaine, Sr. (b. 1694 [[Scotland]]; m. 1717 Co. Antrim, [[Northern Ireland]]; emig. 1719-1722 Bolton, Worcester, MA; d. 1754 Lancaster, PA).
