** Dr. Thomas Philip Hinman (b. 1870 Stratford, Perth, [[Ontario|ON]] - d. 1931). Thomas served as Dean (1917-1922+) of [https://web.archive.org/web/20130610134036/http://emoryhistory.emory.edu/places/schools/schoolsDENTIST.html Emory University School of Dentistry], formerly known as Atlanta-Southern Dental College which was the first dental college in five states in the Southern U.S., and later the first in the nation to exclusively offer post-grad training. Dr. Hinman was also a professor specializing in Oral Surgery, Orthodontia, Porcelain Art, & X-Ray 1904-1910 & Oral Surgery 1917-1923+ after the merger. He was introduced to the school handbook that he needed "no introduction to the Dental profession, as he is one of the most widely and favorably known men in the South as an expert in Porcelain, Orthodontia and X-Ray work".
** Dr. Richard Edward Hinman (b. 1859 Stratford, Perth, ON - d. 1919 Atlanta, GA). He graduated from [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hahnemann_University_Hospital Hahnemann Medical College] (named for the founder of homeopathy) in 1882, then practiced for 12 years in Charlotte, N.C. He then removed to Atlanta where he became a founding professor of physiology and histology at Atlanta Dental College 1893-1917, then continued after the merger with Southern Dental College until his death in 1919. He also was a member for 20 years each of the U.S. pension examining board, and the state examining medical board, serving as president of the latter. Dr. Russell K. Smith officiated his memorial service, active pallbearers were among the faculty of ASDC, including Dr. Percy T. Dashwood, Dr. Claude Hughes, Dr. Malcolm Turner, Dr. Thomas Crenshaw & Dr. J.T. Floyd. Alexander Weldon Mitchell (b. 1812 Madison Springs, Madison, GA - d. 1891 Atlanta, GA), one of the oldest citizens in Atlanta in 1890. He taught at Carver Bible Institute many years, was involved with Wycliffe, and taught at Grace Bible Chapel. Dennie Sr. was a real estate and timber broker. Dorothy's parents were "pioneer Atlantans" Joseph Madison High & Hattie Wilson High. After Dorothy's husband's death, she donated her home on Peachtree St. to the Atlanta Art Association as the city's art museum until its present location was constructed.
