** H.G. Mackay, G'boro, NC: "We have been cheered by seeing quite a number, both young and old, saved in the regular meetings in the past two months. This has encouraged us to commence a special effort, and we are at the beginning of the second week. Attendance has been quite good, with strangers present each night, and over the week-end many new faces were seen in the services. One has professed to be saved, we have reasons to believe others are becoming interested, so we look to the Lord to graciously grant us a good ingathering of souls."
** Lester Wilson, G'boro, NC: "The work in these parts goes on nicely. Souls are saved in one or more of the places almost every week, even without special meetings. At present I am helping to build the new Hall here in Burlington. We should be finished in about a month. Manual labor is good for preachers. We are also building at Durham and a start has been made toward a new hall in Durham with a series of meetings beginning June 3rd, D.V."
** Harold Mackay, G'boro, NC: "I have increased my time on the radio and now have five mornings each week, Mon-Fri at 7:30am on WBIC, 5000 watt, 1470 k.c. Each week we hear of new listeners and it is a great privilege to reach hundreds of homes each morning with the gospel and the truth for the Lord's people."

* LOI 1945-8: H.G. Mackay, G'boro, NC: "I am keeping quite busy in the work of the Lord in this city of Greensboro, N.C. That assembly goes along nicely. Yesterday we had 213 in the Sunday school, 91 in the Bible class. A few were saved in recent special meetings and many strangers were with us, most of them radio listeners. I am now on the radio five mornings a week on WBIG, the 5000-watt station in this city, at 7:30 Mon-Fri. This is the only morning devotional broadcast on this station, and we continually hear of very many listening to these messages. Some are in the assembly as a result."

* LOI 1946-3: H.G. Mackay, G'boro, NC: "The work here in Greensboro goes forward nicely. We were able to clear off all indebtedness on the assembly building in 1945, and the work is going forward this year with much to give encouragement that this will be our best year. Our Sunday School is running nicely over 200 each Sunday and our goal is 300 before the end of the year. Two of the senior scholars, young men of 18 and 21, have been saved since the New Year. Other branches of the work are encouraging as well, with strangers present at practically all the services. The morning radio ministry continues to reach into many hundreds of homes in this and other nearby states, and we know the Day will declare that which has been accomplished through this avenue of service."

* LOI 1946-4:
** Harold G. Mackay, G'boro, NC: "The Lord's work is encouraging in Greensboro where brother Mackay labors in fellowship with other brethren in the Piedmont section of North Carolina. The Sunday School is about 200 and at a recent monthly meeting for young people 350 attended. The gospel is preached over the air five mornings weekly. When the Siler City hall is finished all the assemblies in the district will have fine buildings, most suited for the carrying on the Lord's work. Three of them are completely cleared of indebtedness."
** Conferences: "As in former years, the Easter conference of the Piedmont, N.C. assemblies is planned for Easter weekend, April 20-22 in Greensboro, N.C. Services commence, D.V., Sat. April 20th at 3:00pm and will conclude with the evening service on Monday. Among the speakers expected are Will Pell, H.K. Downie and Cyril Brooks. The Lord's people are heartily invited to be with us on this occasion. Address all communications to Conference Correspondent, 622 Forest Ave., Greensboro, N.C. Harold G. Mackay."

* LOI 1946-5: Lester Wilson, G'boro, NC: "Our brother had a profitable series of gospel meetings in Durham in February and March. Some Sunday nights there were over 300 at the meeting and on weeknights up to 150. About 30 professed to be saved. He began meetings in the new chapel in Siler City April 7th where the work began 2 1/4 years ago.

* LOI 1946-6:
** Harold G. Mackay: "The annual conference of the Piedmont Assemblies of North Carolina at Greensboro was another time of rich spiritual refreshing and blessing to the Lord's people who attended. Attendance was larger than ever before, two services being conducted simultaneously on Lord's Day morning, one for children, the other for adults, with an estimated combined attendance of about 650. About 2000 meals were served. The ministry of the Word was rich and varied, of a searching and a Christ-exalting nature. Those who ministered the Word were: H.K. Downie, C.H. Brooks, Wm. Pell, and Dr. Harvey Farmer. Others of the Lord's servants present were: C.T. Schwarze, F.M. Detweiler, Wm. Brown, D. Ibbotson, H.W. Detweiler, W.G. Smith, W.C. Bousfield, Lester Wilson and H.G. Mackay. Dr. Farmer and C.H. Brooks remained for a few meetings in the district, H.K. Downie going on to Asheville."
** Lester Wilson: "I have been a radio now for nine years in connection with the work in this section of the country. I esteem it a God-given opportunity, invaluable in opening new work and maintaining and maintaining interest thereafter. I have heard of some being saved through our radio work, but I would say feeding and contacting Christians, advertising special meetings are my best results from the radio. Except for one or two occasions the radio over a period of time gets one known and builds up confidence that yields its glad harvest in the end. Radio makes personal inviting and other advertising easier. The radio helps to break down prejudice and gives folks a sample of what they will get at your meetings. I thank God with all my heart for the opportunity, results and possibilities of the radio."
