* L&L 1947-5:
R.F. Bayles, 5310 Lawton Ave., Oakland, CA: "Since Mar. 24 we have been preaching the gospel and unfolding the word at El Paso, Houston, Pineview, Manvel and Fort Worth, Texas, Assemblies. This week we are having meetings at Dallas. We have found good interest and appreciation, especially in regard to the exposition of the Word. This type of ministry seems to be a much-felt need wherever one labors.
The three-day Easter Conference at Fort Worth was a time of real spiritual refreshing and happy fellowship. The ministry was practical, searching and timely. Assembly order and responsibility was much stressed. An unusual (in our times) feature was the open meeting for ministry each afternoon. Brethren took the platform as they felt led, rather than by designation. This method was felt by many to be very profitable, giving due place to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Brethren sharing this ministry were T. Bush, D. Dunnett, F. Hillis, and R.F. Bayles. The gospel meetings were shared by brethren W. Curry, F. Hillis, and R.F. Bayles. Bro. Kessler gave a very timely and encouraging message to the young people's groups. Ernest Gross gave much help in all these meetings by his spirited song leading... The Lord willing we expect to go to Colorado next week for a season of ministry in Colorado Springs and Denver."

* L&L 1948-2: Leonard E. Brough, 2905 Power House Rd., Yakima, WA: Jan. 5: "On my first visit to Southern Texas, Houston, Pineview, Melrose, South Houston and Manvel (where meetings are now in progress) have been visited. One precious soul professed salvation." * L&L 1948-11: South Houston Bible Chapel, South Houston, Texas:  "A new gospel hall has been built at the corner of 11th St. and Spencer Hwy., in South Houston. Those mainly responsible are several brethren who have been in fellowship for many years and live in this section, also a number who have left the sects recently and have been in fellowship for a short time, and others who have been saved at different times in meetings. This meeting has been formed in happy fellowship with the meeting from

* L&L 1951-7: Tom McCullagh, Guthrie, OK: "I went to Houston, Texas, for the opening of of the new hall at Riverview. I enjoyed ministering the Word to them, also at Manvel and in the Louisiana Street hall. There seems to be an ear for God's Word. In July, Leonard Lindsted will join me in tent work in Tulsa, and in August I will work with John Elliott in Guthrie. Pray for us in this tent work."
* L&L 1951-11: Being Assembled: Manvel, TX: "The Assembly carries on a work among children in a nearby district Sunday afternoons. Many children come out and the opportunity to present the Gospel is being used to the utmost."
