The Burdicks married on Aug. 26, 1950, and resided in Redford, then Livonia, then purchased a cottage on White Lake, moving there in 1990. Ed managed claims adjusters for AAA Insurance for many years, and took early retirement to become a commended worker in counseling and visitation for Dunning Park Chapel in Redford. They were commended initially in 1980 from Dunning Park Chapel, then in 1989 by Friendship Bible Chapel. He and Peggy were among the founders of the latter. He served in the Navy Reserves 1948-1953. Peggy's father, William McLellan, was an itinerant preacher among the assemblies, they lived in all the provinces of [[Canada]] when Peggy was growing up. She served as President of [http://www.winningwomenforchrist.org/about.php Winning Women for Christ], a retreat organization now based in [[Florida]] founded in 1958 by a granddaughter of R.A. Torrey. Peggy also served as a director of the Junior Girls Camp at [https://www.upbiblecamp.org/ Upper Peninsula Bible Camp].
