(1901-1909)). 2nd wife (1904 @ MO): Eugenia Chalfant Allan (b. 1882 New Albany, Floyd, IN - d. 1959 StL, MO), daughter of Eugene Chalfant (b. 1858 PA - d. 1888 New Albany, IN) & Sadie Ennis Gray Chalfant (b. 1863 Pattonville, MO; m. 1881 StL, MO; d. 1893 StL, MO). Eugene died at the age of 30 of rabies after being bitten by a spitz dog. Edwin's 2nd wedding (1904) was held in the parlor of the New St. Charles hotel in St. Charles, MO, officiated by Rev. Ely, pastor of the Jefferson Street Presbyterian Church. Attendants were Miss Edith M. Chalfant & Rupert M. Allan, both of St. Louis. Edwin's memorial was held at Maplewood Gospel Hall. Children: Homer, Stephen, Gaius, Lois Allan Harrison, Esther Allan Schwab, Ruth Allan Fetter, Mirian Allan Robinson, Elizabeth Allan Schrivener & Naomi Allan Caswell.
