Missionaries representing several assemblies commended Carlos and Margarida to the service of the Lord in Angola. Carlos and Margarida worked in the assembly of Luanda full-time until 1975 when they left with their 3 sons. In 1976, in the United States, with T. Ernest Wilson's recommendation, the Lord used Carlos to plant a new assembly in Pawtucket, Rhode Island for the Portuguese-speaking.
Carlos and Margarida were commended by assemblies in Warwick (RI), Groton (CT), [[Good News Chapel, MA|Attleboro]] (MA), Swansea (MA), and the old Pawtucket Gospel Hall. Since then, Carlos has served full-time among Portuguese-speaking assemblies in the Northeast. Carlos started and maintained a radio and television evangelistic ministry for many years. Desiring to be more efficient in testimony and ministry, Carlos acquired a number of degrees, including a theological doctorate. He is most gifted in teaching of the Word.
