"Wick Dan Bowser, 75, of 460 Hedeen Dr. died at home Saturday afternoon following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1915 in [Leetonia], Ohio, and had lived in Mansfield for 60 years. Mr. Bowser had been manager of The Bookery Inc. and was retired. He had been treasurer and a member of the board. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Rose E. (Wentz) Bowser; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leile Jean and Paul Ernsberger of Perrysville and Bonnie Rosalie and Vaughn Taylor of Fredericktown; a sister, Mary Biener of Englewood, Fla.; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wick Roy and Margaret Bowser; two sisters, Ruth Bowser Smith and Katherine Bowser Koppert; and two brothers, William and Albert Bowser. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7=9 p.m. Tuesday at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Pastor Dennis Nezrick and assisted by Bill Roller."
