He was later a salesman for [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethlehem_Steel Bethlehem Steel], and in fellowship with [https://www.miumcarchives.org/files/original/4ec91dc8deff350b889bf6622cc71067e501a25e.pdf Detroit Christ Methodist] (active 1847-2010), founded as Beaubien Street Church which primarily spoke German in its early years.
In 1912, James Abrams & Margaret McConnell were married in the McConnell home on Main St., Butler. W.R. Craig, pastor of [https://sites.rootsweb.com/~pabutler/1895/95x22.htm Butler First Presbyterian] (1797-), officiated the wedding. Interesting to note that one of the two founding elders of that church (as organized in 1812) was Thomas Dodds, of possible ancestry to one of the same name who is a current (2025) correspondent of [[Bethel Bible Chapel, PA|Bethel Bible Chapel]] of Bethel Park. Also worth noting there was a Rev.
