==Matthews family==
Edgar was employed as a salesman for men's tailor-made shirts for many years in Waterloo, relocating to the assembly retirement home in Claremont, [[California]] just in February of 1960. In 1897, he lived in Garnett, [[Kansas]]. As early as 1917, he resided at 206 Leland Ave., which was inherited by his daughter Ruth prior to 1960. William R. Simpson (L.A., CA) officiated Edgar's memorial at Downing Avenue Gospel Chapel.
