Bill graduated from Clinton High School in Kentucky, then earned a Bachelor's degree at Wayne State in Detroit. He worked as a bookkeeper for Wayne State University, then Flegle's Lumber in Bardwell for over 50 years. He was a member of the [[Gideons]]. Paul Roorda III officiated his memorial.
