From +1878-1880+, there was a meeting at St. Joseph in the home of J.F. [[John Fiske Barnard]], where John Wells of KCMO likely commuted to. H.C. was correspondent +1879-1880+, c/o W.M. Wyeth & Co.
The LoG's from that time period show John Wells' address was c/o W.M. Wyeth & Co. (1859-1989), later known as the Wyeth Hardware & Manufacturing Co. founded by [[https://stjosephmuseums.fandom.com/wiki/William_Maxwell_Wyeth William Maxwell Hyeth] (1832-1901), inherited by son [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huston_Wyeth Huston Wyeth] (1863-1925). Wyeth, having worked for him as a clerk from 1872-1889 and was at the time of his death regarded to having been "one of the oldest and most trustworthy employees". He was also a Civil War veteran, having served as Captain of Company I, 77th Indiana volunteers, seeing service under Buell & Rosecrans. After the War, he returned to St. Joseph and assisted in outfitting two trains of Schuttler wagons to cross the plains to [[Idaho]]. Then was employed by [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nave_%26_McCord_Mercantile_Company Nave & McCord]'s Mercantile company before joining W.M. Wyeth's hardware company about 1872. Harmon's son Dr. Charles Wood Fassett edited the St. Joseph Medical Herald (1881-1919), the oldest periodical of its type in that city. In 1891, he founded a bi-weekly journal called "The Medical Fortnightly" (aka American Medical Journalist), based in St. Louis. He has served as secretary of the Association of American Medical Publishers, and a member of the Medical Press club of the Mississippi valley. Harmon died at the age of 52 after a full year illness which caused typhoid pneumonia. Rice (d. 1927 Amarillo, TX). 1894 @ Dearborn, MI then Creston, IA then Amarillo, TX. Wife (1884): Minnie Cook Fassett (b. 1864 IL - d. 1932 Glendale, L.A., CA).*** Bonnie Lesley Fassett Watson (1885 St. Joseph, MO - d. 1967 Hillsborough, San Mateo, CA). Husband: Major Albert John Watson (b. 1884 Dundee, [[Scotland|Scot.]] - d. 1970 San Mateo Co., CA). Major Watson served during WWI with the 89th Div. 164th Brig., 342nd Field Artillery.**** Albert Jay Watson, Jr. (b. 1911 KCMO - d. 1998 Sedona, Yavapai, AZ). 1950 @ Pasadena, L.A., CA. Wife: Helen L. Becker Watson (1921-1974 L.A., CA), daughter of Ernest August Becker II (1894-1974 L.A., CA) & Aleene Florence Beach Becker (b. 1897 Yuma, AZ - d. 1986 Las Vegas, Clark, [[Nevada|NV]]). His father moved to California in 1903 and was a successful land speculator, including developing the L.A. suburb of Eagle Rock.
