In 1946, Vernie & Lucelle "Granny" Boles were members of the First Christian Church in Guthrie, OK. He also had a nephew, Marion Lee Boles, who was killed in the South Pacific during WWII. In 1959-1961+, Wayne was a teacher at Allen School in Hutch. In 1961, Lucelle was a cook at Day Nursery. As per his [https://www.newspapers.com/image/907891719 obit], Lucelle's father, John Lenhart, opened a blacksmith shop in Lockridge, OK, then owned a department store there. In 1911, the bank failed and the town was dying, but he remained there operating a garage, and sold groceries. He was the final resident to leave Lockridge in 1941 after the final building was sold and razed, and he moved in with Lucelle in Guthrie for the remainder of his life.
